It's been a long time we haven't seen Rani Mukerji in an advertisement or as the face of any popular brand. Given that there was a time when Rani was endorsing multiple brands, this definitely isn't what you would have expected. But after her supremely successful Mardaani last year, Rani was back in top form and a popular cola brand also wanted to rope her in as their brand ambassador. But it didn't work out.
Rani Mukerji who is in her third trimester now is heavily pregnant with her first child and hence has limited public outings as well. The actress has been ably supported by hubby Aditya Chopra who's taking special care in making sure everything is perfect for Rani and the baby. As a result of her pregnancy, Rani had to opt out of the brand deal and will be taking a maternity leave post her delivery. Rani is due in January.
So who's replacing the diva? Shruti Haasan. Yes, we hear that the brand has now approached Shruti to be the face of their brand and has also offered the young actress a hefty sum for the same. Seems for now, Shruti has definitely replaced Rani in the brand circuit. But we are waiting to see Rani make her comeback in a few years as well!
