'Himmatwala' First Look: back in the 80s

Sajid Khan remakes one of the most popular films of 1980s- 'Himmatwala' and gives it his own twist, The original 'Himmatwala' was released in 1983 and featured Jeetendra and Sridevi in the lead roles. South actress Tamannaah will be seen playing the female lead in the film. The film also features Mahesh Manjrekar. The original was directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. The original film was a remake of a telugu film called 'Ooriki Monagadu'. The film is expected to have high-octane action and lot of melodrama, which was an essential part of 80s pot boilers. Tamannaah plays Mahesh Manjrekar's daughter in the film. Zarina Wahab plays Ajay Devgn's mother in the film. Ajay Devgn will be seen dancing with TV stars Sayantani Ghosh and Surveen Chawla.The film will also have Akshay Kumar and Jeetendra in cameo roles. Paresh Rawal, in a bizarre get up, will also be seen in the film.
